Ad Club is designed to function as a student-run advertising agency. Members have the opportunity to apply for real positions, are held to real deadlines, and work for a real client. JMU Ad Club is an opportunity to experience agency life, and figure out whether advertising is a professional atmosphere you can thrive in. Our hardworking team is constantly evolving, and we're always on the lookout for creative-thinkers who are going to shape our club into something even greater. What will you bring to the table?
We are one of the 225 affiliated college chapters of the American Advertising Federation. AAF is your connection to the entire advertising community, giving members an exclusive opportunity for networking, education, and valuable industry discounts. Each year we participate in the National Student Advertising Competition. Every NSAC team is presented with the same client and case study. Once we research our client, their competition, the proposed target audience, we spend the school year developing an integrated advertising campaign. In the spring, after a year of hard work, selected club members are sent to Raleigh to pitch our work to industry professionals and advertising experts.
Past clients include Wienerschnitzel, Snapple, Pizza Hut, Mary Kay, Glidden and Nissan.
